Medieval Castles were structures that changed in the Middle Ages. These changes were determined by several factors such as changes in the war and the influences of different cultures. Here is a brief history of how the medieval castle was developed over five centuries of the Middle Ages.
Around the tenth century, the first structures of the castle were built defensive structures. These defensive structures were called Motte and Bailey andwere large quantities of dirt, have been limited by wooden stockade fences and buildings.
